About the competition

The Design and Innovation Hub of Nigeria is thrilled to announce the launch of our inaugural National Design Competition, an exciting initiative aimed at celebrating the ingenuity and creative prowess of designers, artisans, and innovators across Nigeria's diverse geopolitical zones. Anchored in the spirit of utilising indigenous resources and fostering sustainable economic development, this competition serves as a platform for participants to showcase their talent and craftsmanship across three design domains: product design, furniture design, and industrial design.

Aligned with our mission to create a dynamic ecosystem that fosters creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurship, the competition will kick off with virtual training and workshops conducted by international experts. These sessions will equip participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their respective fields.

The competition is Nationwide and spans across the 6 geo-political zones in Nigeria. The competition will culminate in a national showcase during Design Week Lagos, where participants will have the opportunity to display their diverse talents to a wide audience.
